Your GP calls upon a wide range of support and services from various
organisations such as hospital care and community nursing to ensure your
continued health and well being.
Horizon Health Commissioning Ltd represents the 26 GP practices in North Bedfordshire to provide a coordinated approach to the design and delivery of patient services in the local community.
Previously the design and commissioning of these services was the responsibility of your local NHS Primary Care Trust. The NHS placed the responsibility for the commissioning of NHS patient services into the hands of your GP practice. This new system is known as Practice Based Commissioning.
